Dieta Oy Warranty Conditions

Warranty Coverage

Dieta Oy provides a warranty for new devices sold, covering possible structural, manufacturing, and material defects. Claims related to warranty issues after the warranty period are not valid unless reported in writing during the warranty period.

 

Warranty Beneficiary

The warranty applies to devices sold to the first customer in Finland.

 

Warranty Period

The warranty period is one (1) year from the date of delivery of the device.

 

Warranty Content

The warranty covers the repair costs of damages caused by structural, manufacturing, and material defects identified by Dieta Oy during the warranty period. Dieta Oy or an authorised service provider repairs the device to operational condition.

 

Warranty Work Execution

Permanently installed devices are repaired on the customer's premises on weekdays between 8:00 and 16:00. Easily transportable devices (weighing under 25 kg) must be delivered by the customer to Dieta's service center (Holkkitie 8, 00880 Helsinki) for repair at their own expense. Repaired devices can be picked up by the customer or delivered to the customer at their expense. Warranty repair work in the evenings and weekends is done at the customer's request and expense.

 

Responsibility and Warranty Limitations

This warranty is provided under the condition that the device has been used in normal operating conditions, and the operating instructions have been carefully followed. Dieta Oy's liability is limited to these terms, and the warranty does not cover damages caused by the device to a person or another object, nor does it cover indirect costs.

 

The warranty does not cover defects caused by:

  • Device transportation
  • User negligence or overloading of the device, neglect of operating instructions or daily care and maintenance
  • Conditions beyond Dieta Oy's control, such as voltage fluctuations, fire, incorrect connections, acts of vandalism, repairs performed by unauthorised service providers, maintenance, or structural changes made to the device
  • Incorrect or otherwise faulty device installation or placement at the usage site.

 

Insignificant Defects, Adjustments, Usage Guidance, and Device Accessories

The warranty does not cover the repair of insignificant surface scratches that do not affect the device's operational condition, normal adjustments outlined in the user manual, usage guidance visits, and cleaning measures due to impurities in the customer's steam or water supply network. Additionally, tasks resulting from the customer's failure to comply with warning or installation instructions are not covered. Parts that are at risk of breakage due to handling or natural wear and tear, such as indicator lights, seals, temperature sensors, and movable plastic parts, are not covered by the warranty.

 

Actions in Case of a Defect

Upon the occurrence of a defect during the warranty period, the customer must promptly notify Dieta Oy's service center. The customer must provide information about the device (model, serial number), the nature of the defect as accurately as possible, and the circumstances in which the defect occurred and/or manifests. Dieta Oy investigates whether the device and the described defect fall within the scope of the warranty and informs the customer of the repair method and timing.

Warranty Conditions for ReLife Devices

Spare Parts Warranty

Dieta Oy grants a spare parts warranty for the ReLife devices, covering possible part breakages. Spare parts warranty does not apply to devices that are not covered by the warranty. If a device is not covered by the warranty, this is indicated in the product description with the "No warranty/Ei takuuta" label. Claims related to the spare parts warranty after the warranty period are not valid unless reported in writing during the warranty period. See (Appendix 1)

Warranty Beneficiary

The warranty applies to devices sold in the Outlet. The warranty is not transferable to a third party.

Warranty Period

The spare parts warranty is granted individually for each device six (6) months from the date of delivery.

Warranty Content

The warranty covers part breakages identified by Dieta Oy during the spare parts warranty period and the resulting spare part costs. Possible repair costs are not covered by the spare parts warranty.

Appendix 1: Spare Parts Warranty for ReLife Devices

 

ReLife Device Spare Parts Warranty

The spare parts warranty applies to used Outlet devices and is valid from the device's delivery date. The warranty covers devices serviced and inspected by the selling party.

Exclusions from the Spare Parts Warranty

The spare parts warranty excludes:

 

  • Cosmetic damages
  • Known possible defects or deficiencies at the time of sale that do not hinder the safe use of the device
  • Breakages resulting from user error.

Features of the Spare Parts Warranty

If a defect occurs in the device during the warranty period that prevents its use and is not reasonably repairable at a moderate cost:


1. Both the buyer and the seller have the right to terminate the transaction.

 

    • The final decision on terminating the transaction is made by the selling party.
    • The full purchase amount is refunded.
    • The seller takes care of any associated return costs, such as return shipping.

OR

2. Dieta Oy will offer a new, similar device to the customer at discounted price to replace the damaged one.

    • The final decision on offering a new device is made by the selling party.
